"It was such a beautiful moment,” recounts Marco Parisi, one half of PARISI, the electronic duo he formed with his brother Jack. “It usually never happens that in a rave like we do, there are moments of silence — but the room was completely silent.”
As long-time friends of ROLI, the brothers have been getting to grips with Airwave for some time now, including during the product’s development. But it’s only during a recent run of shows that they’ve been able to experience the reactions of their audiences to our latest breakthrough. Alongside Marco’s trusty Seaboard 2 and an eclectic collection of other gear (including MPC Live II, Roland TR-8S, iPad running Samplr and a pair of CD-Js) two Airwaves have formed the heart of the pair’s setup for their recent CASA PARISI residency at London’s Corsica Studios.
The best showcase for Airwave’s live potential has to be the track ”Rain”, which opens with stuttering vocals chops offset against melancholy orchestral swells — all controlled by the pair’s sweeping hand gestures captured by the two Airwaves. You can watch the full track below.
