Henry has a wide range of interests and skills. He enjoys finding new and experimental ways to build delight and usability into his design work. In his spare time he loves cycling, sailing, playing music, cooking and dancing.

A multidisciplinary creative, Sohee has a background in visual communication and design strategy across tech, marketing, creative, and retail sectors. She is passionate about design, developing ideas from the initial ideation phase through to final production. When she's not in front of her laptop, Sohee enjoys practicing yoga and travelling the globe.

Jessica loves being outdoors (when the weather is nice), exploring new places, and is a keen festival goer. With a background in advertising production, she now puts her organizational skills to great use as part of the People Operations team at Luminary.

Daniel has 10 years of experience working in TV post-production, before freelancing for 8. Highlights include roaming backstage with the vocalist of Slipknot to filming rubber eggs in the name of kids entertainment. Out in the wild, Daniel can usually be found in a brewery taproom, at an art gallery, or at home making pizza.

Yu Kyung Lee

She’s a product designer with a background in industrial design and a Master’s in Design Products from the Royal College of Art. With hands-on experience in both hardware and software, she enjoys connecting the physical and digital to keep design projects aligned and thoughtful. She’s motivated by creative challenges and loves working collaboratively to bring ideas to life.

Corey Harrower

Founder & CPO

Formerly a professional contemporary dancer, Corey works to comprehensively cohere the Luminary community. He co-directs VT's Governor’s Institute on the Arts and is passionate about activism and the discourse related to issues of gender, race, non-human animals and social justice.

Rena Kamogawa

Executive Assistant to the CEO

Rena is a thoughtful wayfinder who loves creating the right conditions for teams to thrive. With a background spanning international business and startup operations, she turns vision into action through structure and empathy. She enjoys cooking, playing the flute, and exploring cultures through conversation.

Inayat Shariff

Director of Web and Platform

As a product-oriented engineer, Inayat has given form to innovative ideas at multiple early-stage startups, including heading the technology department. He uses this experience to balance the needs of Luminary's Platform resources. In his downtime, he strives to level up his bouldering and chess skills.

Mike Toon

Mike has extensive experience in developing video technologies and holds an academic background in music technology. He enjoys hiking in the mountains, particularly in his native Scotland.

Roland Lamb

Founder & CEO

After high school, Roland moved to Japan to practise Zen Buddhism. He earned a degree in Classical Chinese and Sanskrit Philosophy from Harvard University. His diverse achievements led to a scholarship to pursue an MA in Design Products at the RCA. There he invented the award-winning Seaboard GRAND and ROLI was born.

Otis completed an educational bootcamp to pivot my career into software engineering. He loves an adventure, whether that's reading a good book, playing an RPG or traveling to new places. He also spends a decent amount of time chasing his kids around the house.

Oli's passion is building valuable, culturally relevant brands. He previously helped reposition and scale Twitter, grew Deliveroo’s global footprint, and ran consumer marketing at Peloton. Husband and father to two young boys and three globetrotting cats, he is an avid reader and skier, as well as recovering QPR supporter.

Originally from South Africa, Dylan brings four years of data engineering experience to ROLI with a passion for data movement and solution architecture. In his spare time, he can be found playing sports, travelling, enjoying photography and more recently, drone videography whilst also learning to DJ and play the guitar.

Corey has lived in North-London his whole life. He studied a degree in Music Business and now spends his time both audio engineering at different recording studios and supporting the Finance team at ROLI. In his downtime, he enjoys gaming, music festivals, and supporting Spurs.

A keen maker, Aga got hooked on coding in early teens and hasn’t looked back since. With previous experience making apps for mobile and less-mobile devices at Samsung (think TVs!), she enjoys exploring the cross-section between technology and design. In her free time, she likes to get her hands dirty with DIY projects and ponder the meaning of life, the universe, and everything.

A soon-to-be Accounting and Finance graduate, Vaishnave is passionate about helping others. When possible, Vaishnave tries her best to volunteer her time around her community, including with organizations like St. John Ambulance. Vaishnave also enjoys several different hobbies in her spare time, like gardening and playing the violin.

Dan is a keen shot with a camera, loves cruise sailing and is terrible at the guitar, and especially loves doing all three at the same time. Recently graduated as a design engineer from Imperial College, he is passionate about good design and has a keen interest in making things.

Sam has a background in composition, engraving, music tuition and project management. Since completing his undergrad and postgraduate degrees in music, Sam has worked on music projects for adverts, writing and recording with a string ensemble (for a Drum & Bass album) alongside scoring a puzzle app.

John Griffin

Internal Hardware Testing & Prototyping Manager

With past industry experience in Lighting and Furniture design, John oversees the repair and refurbishment of Luminary products whilst also aiding with in-house prototyping and proof of concept hardware. A veteran of the Hackney half marathon, he’s also a keen hiker having visited both Tasmania and New Zealand.

Luke Barton

Luke is responsible for driving growth by building consumer-insight driven marketing campaigns that inspire, engage, and resonate with Luminary's audiences across all channels. He also oversees ROLI.com, digital marketing, and e-commerce. He is an avid musician, playing experimental guitar in a number of projects – and once cycled from Brick Lane in London to Bangladesh for fun.

Originally from Romania, Ana-Maria pursued her interest in music by earning a degree in Music Production in Manchester. She is passionate about sound design and creating music with modular synthesizers. Her interests extend beyond the studio, as she has a deep appreciation for exploring nature, traveling, and indulging in her passion for cooking.

Omar McKay

Social Media and Community Manager

Omar discovered his love for social media whilst playing with various bands across London which led him to work in the fashion industry and charity sector. In his free time he enjoys discovering new music at gigs, experimenting in the kitchen, or hunting for his next pair of sneakers.

Gordon completed a PhD in screen-printed wearable electronics then spent a decade in the medical and automotive sectors before joining Luminary. In his free time he enjoys playing musical instruments, watching cartoons and spending time with family and friends.

After studying Product Design at the RCA, Léa gained experience in Product and Graphic design before joining the Luminary team as a Graphic designer. She has a weird thing with electrical switches and she is often spotted at art exhibitions or enjoying live music.

With a wealth of experience across digital and graphic design, Matt has worked in a range of creative agencies on brands such as McLaren F1, Barclays, Umbro & Sky. He enjoys photography, reading and playing sports with his two kids.

A music composition and sound engineering graduate, Alberto is a multi-instrumentalist who has spent years making music under the Alien Tango alias and playing around the world. He is part of the QA team and outside of Luminary he rarely stops creating, producing music, or editing videos.

After returning from living in Bahrain, Conall has mostly worked on systems that move crisps around. In his spare time, you can find him making music of questionable quality, teaching the next generation of creative coders, and injuring himself while making furniture

Laurent Clerc

When Laurent began tinkering with sounds on the family computer in his teens, little did he know that this hobby would eventually turn into a career as an electronic music producer. After several albums and years of touring - Laurent decided to change tack and switched his focus to building the tools for fellow music makers. He still releases music today as ‘Little People'.

Originally from the United States, David and family moved to London in 2016 to experience this great city for all it has to offer. An Ecuadorian designer now working on the UX and UI of the LUMI app, Santiago has contributed to many areas over the years, from perfecting the first silicone keywaves on the Seaboard GRAND, to designing spatial projects including international events and the in-store experience.

After gaining a BSc in Design for Digital Media in Aberdeen, Chris moved to London and spent the next ten years building a career in web development with some of London's leading design agencies, before joining Luminary as part of the web team. Chris is a lifelong video gamer, and is partial to good food and good sleep.

Ian was selected to exhibit at the New Designers exhibition in London in 2015 with a new product and service proposal for sterilising baby feeding bottles. He can be found creating a touch of sustain on his guitar and has performed at the likes of Latitude and the Great Escape Festivals.

Financial & Operational Systems Manager

After working in publishing and music royalties, Marissa is now a valuable part of Luminary's finance team. She has an interest in biology and history, and is a voracious reader of both fiction and non-fiction, priding herself on being able to read a book a day.

Originally from New Zealand, Stephen realized his dream to move to London and is now busy developing new features for ROLI.com. An avid fan of heavy metal, his wardrobe consists almost entirely of band t-shirts.

Already listed as an inventor on a patent in the EU and the US, Chris’ work focuses on the development of software and electronics for Luminary's next products. He has been DJing on vinyl turntables since he was a teenager.

Tahmima Anam

Executive Director

Trained as an anthropologist, Tahmima is an award-winning writer. She also writes a column for the International New York Times. She sits on the board of Luminary, coordinates senior recruitment, and heads woman-forward initiatives to the Luminary team and beyond.

Sharina Khan

Hailing from New Zealand, where she managed the country’s largest independent record label, Sharina is now head of Business systems at Luminary. She is obsessed with the making and sharing of food and loves music that makes her want to dance.
