ARIatHOME, at this point, is a phenomenon. If you’re interested in making or playing music  (we assume so if you’ve read this far) and have just about any kind of social media account, you’ll surely have seen his videos. His off-the-cuff beats and freestyle performances on the streets of New York have amassed millions of views across TikTok and Instagram, earning him an Instagram Rings award for his creativity and musical innovation.

Ari caught our attention early, naturally, and we’ve been keen to catch up with him for a long time. We finally found a gap in his busy streaming schedule and paid a visit to him at home (appropriately enough) in New York. Watch the video below to get to know Ari, watch some behind-the-scenes footage of his streams, and take an exclusive peek under the hood of his mobile setup.

The setup is usually similar: ARIatHOME, real name Ari Miller, wanders the streets of New York City wearing a sort of studio-sandwich board contraption featuring a pair of our very own Piano M keyboards. He also has a set of speakers, a computer running Ableton Live, and a mic that he passes to complete freestylers to rap or sing into.

What makes it all work, though, is the sheer musical talent on display. Ari fluidly constructs on-point productions for any genre his temporary collaborators request — punching in numbers on a keypad to call up the perfect sound for any occasion, then drumming in beats and playing melodies on his Piano Ms in real time.

Want to see more of Ari? You can find him on YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, and Twitch.
