Fred again.. & PARISI tease explosive new collaboration “Big Dreams” with Seaboard 2

Live in Milan, the trio previewed an unreleased track featuring a sample from Aussie punk band Amyl and The Sniffers.

It was inevitable that magic would happen when Fred again.. and PARISI linked up on a Twitch stream in Milan last week, part of their five-date tour across Italy this September. The two artists teased an unreleased track called “Big Dreams”, a collaboration featuring a sample from the Aussie punk band on the rise, Amyl and The Sniffers. Watch below to see the performance unfold, full of punk attitude and a healthy dose of electronic experimentation on the Seaboard 2.

For those who don’t already know, PARISI are the Italian brothers Marco and Jack, a duo reshaping electronic music by pushing the limits of sound design and performance. Fred again.. needs little introduction these days: his emotionally charged take on dance music has made him one of the most important voices in contemporary production. The idea of these two worlds colliding is exciting enough on its own, and with the added punk punch of an Amyl and The Sniffers sample woven into “Big Dreams”, it’s a preview of the kind of high-energy, genre-blurring music fans can expect from the two artists in the future.

A highlight of the Milan stream was Marco Parisi’s performance on the Seaboard 2. Marco has become almost synonymous with the instrument — his ability to bring expressive, human textures out of it makes the Seaboard like a living, breathing part of the music. The perfect bridge between Fred’s beats and the raw, sampled grit of Amyl and The Sniffers, Seaboard 2 added a layer of malleable and expansive sound.

There’s no release date for “Big Dreams” yet, but if the Twitch stream and post-tour teasers were anything to go by, the track and upcoming music from Fred again.. and Parisi is going to be something special.
