ROLI's Airwave Launch at Fabric, London
A recap of the night Airwave was first revealed to the world
On Tuesday October 8th, the ROLI team took to London’s iconic Fabric nightclub (this week celebrating 25 years at the heart of London’s music scene) to announce ROLI’s mission to #freethemusic and reveal our very latest product innovations. The legendary music venue was the perfect choice for the occasion, as an excited crowd of over 400 musicians, producers, media, partners, and friends of ROLI gathered to celebrate the launch.
CEO and co-founder Roland Lamb gave a keynote presentation introducing ROLI’s ambition to Free the Music, just before announcing ROLI’s latest release to the world for the first time.
ROLI Airwave transforms music-making for both learners and creators, using powerful applications powered by computer vision. Airwave completely revolutionizes music learning and makes Spatial Music learning possible for the first time ever.
Grammy-winning artist and producer, Marco Parisi, wowed the audience with a unique showcase of ROLI Airwave and Seaboard, showcasing the expressive potential of the Five Dimensions of Air.
Airwave sees your hands and provides real-time feedback and personalized lessons based on your unique learning journey. Airwave opens an entirely new territory in music creation through Spatial Expression, allowing musicians to, quite literally, play the air.
Attendees were able to get hands-on in the demo room and experience different Airwave set-ups. Feedback was phenomenal as they had their very first interactions with the magic of ROLI Vision and Piano AI.
The evening culminated with a mega set-up on Fabric’s iconic dance floor where the electronic music duo PARISI gave the world’s first live performance with ROLI Airwave at the centre of their setup. As the night drew to a close after an electrifying performance, Airwave's launch marked a moment where the landscape of musical creation and creative expression had changed forever.
