Since LUMI was launched back in 2019, the in-app experience for subscribers has grown and grown. From a small selection of songs and lessons, there are now over 1,000 musical adventures to explore, including a vast selection of pop hits, plus two thrilling arcade games: Springboard and Superluminal.

This means it’s also time for LUMI Membership to evolve, reflecting the expanded content in the LUMI app. As a result, the subscription tiers of LUMI Essential and LUMI Complete have been replaced with one simple LUMI Membership.

Subscription pricing

The price of LUMI Membership (formerly known as LUMI Complete), must now cover the cost of licensing the expanded library of contemporary music, as well as support the development of exciting future app features.

Although we know no increase is welcome, we're confident that LUMI Membership offers exceptional value for money. A LUMI Membership is an effective way to start learning piano, with more music and content added regularly — and it remains a much cheaper way to begin than traditional face-to-face piano lessons.

The new LUMI Membership pricing is as follows:

Solo Annual Membership: $119.99, £99.99, €119.99

Solo Monthly Membership: $14.99, £12.99, €14.99

We know changes like this can feel abrupt. So if you're an existing subscriber, you will remain on your existing subscription plan at the old pricing ($79.99, £69.99, €79.99) until November 30th, 2023. This means you will benefit from one more renewal at your subscription at your current price. 

After Nov 30th, 2023 — but not until then — any renewals will be automatically placed on the new pricing tiers listed above. Your billing date and billing cycle will not be affected.

LUMI Essential changes

As a part of this transition, we also sunsetted the LUMI Essential tier on January 3rd, 2023. If you're a current LUMI Keys owner on the LUMI Essential tier and want to continue to access the content in the app, simply log into your LUMI account and subscribe to LUMI Membership.

If you are not interested in a LUMI Membership — for instance, if you want to play and produce your own music by using LUMI Keys as a MIDI controller — order a LUMI Keys Studio Edition from roli.com instead.
